
The McGaheysville Town Hall Association was Established in 1893. The first designated Trustees include T.M. Armentrout, L.B. Yancey, A.G. Armentrout, W.A. Herron, & C.F. Armentrout.
In December 1893, a committee was appointed to oversee the Town Halls construction. Committee Leaders included:
Luther Hopkins – President
Dr. L.B. Yancey – Secretary
G.W. Arementrout – Treasurer
The timber was kindly donated by Jacob Burner.
Walter Armentrout of Richmond (formerly of this place) was awarded the contract to build the Town Hall.
Construction was completed in time for Oak Hill Academy’s Commencement Exercises in May 1894.

Today, the Town Hall continues to be available for community use, and is now cared for by the McGaheysville Ruritan Club.
